Cross-Dressed Man Robbed 66-Year-Old Victim In Reston: Police

A man dressed as a woman is accused of robbing a 66-year-old victim in Fairfax County, police said.

James David Freeman, who identifies as Jasmine Freeman and Kelly Freeman, 38, of Reston, has been charged with robbery following the Monday, July 24 incident, police said.

The victim got off a metro bus and sat on a bench near the Hunter Woods shopping center on North Shore Drive, around 8:20 p.m., police said.

Freeman sat down next to her and robbed the victim of her wallet, police said. A physical struggle occurred between the victim and Freeman, at which point the suspect ran from the scene and was not found. The victim was uninjured during the robbery.

Through their investigation, detectives identified Freeman and charged him with robbery. He was arrested two days later and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was being held without bond.
